Dilworth cocktail bar Queen & Glass has announced 5Church’s Jamie Lynch will be the next guest chef in their cocktail dinner series. The dinner series, which pairs drinks by mixologist Bob Peters with each course cooked by the guest chef, launched earlier this year with chef Michael Bowling.
The Queen & Glass owner Cory Duran had the idea to launch a dinner series. When Bowling came in one night for a cocktail, he asked Peters if he knew anyone looking to do a collaborative dinner. Their conversation led to the dinner series’ kickoff event. The plan is to host a new chef each month.
Lynch, a former Top Chef competitor, will serve four courses, with five cocktails from Peters.
“It’s kind of interesting to get a chef out of their own restaurant,” Peters says. “…That sort of frees them up to experiment or do something that they’ve been thinking about doing or whatever they want, because they’re not constrained to the branding of their own restaurant.”
Peters say he’s got the year almost entirely lined up, and will announce each chef individually.
“This is a really incredible opportunity to bring in some pretty amazing names to the Dilworth side of town,” Peters says. Tickets are $100. Purchase them here. —Kristen Wile
