Q&A: Best dinner patios, Masters food
Each week, we answer reader questions about food and drink in Charlotte
Q: What are some of your favorite patios for dining this time of year?
Kristen: I have several! 300 East is one — there’s great people watching on East Boulevard, and the food is always good. Also, the patio at The Goodyear House is a go-to in our house — it’s such a large space, you’re likely to get a table outside on shorter notice. For fancier nights, you can’t beat the porch of The Fig Tree’s historic home, the Lucas House.
Q: The Masters is coming up and I’d love to get a great egg salad sandwich. Where should I go?
Kristen: Laurel Market, for sure! It’s a little more complex than the one served at Augusta — the small bodega in Myers Park puts bacon and a horseradish aioli on theirs — but one of the best sandwiches in town, egg salad or not.
