On the nose: Intense strawberry, hint of peach, light citrus, tarragon
On the palate: Light acidity with raspberry, clean and refreshing, light body
On the plate: Summer salads, ahi tuna, roasted artichoke, zucchini frittata
Our take: Very pale pink in a stunning bottle dotted with indented circles. The bottle has a glass closure. This wine is very quaffable; good value for the price.
Fun fact: Chateau de Berne is located on the Aurelian Way, a road built by the Romans to travel from Italy to Spain. This very old winery is also a full spa with pools, restaurant, spa selections, and wine. It is surrounded by lavender fields and old pine forests.
