20-Buck Bottle: Balanced sauvignon blanc

Chile got it right on this wine

Adentu by Vina Siegel, 2020 Sauvignon Blanc, Central Valley Chile

Available at: winestore., all locations
Price: $7.99

On the nose: Lemon, herbs; delicate with a pale yellow color
On the palate: Balanced acidity with star fruit and green melon
On the plate: Pair with chilled shrimp, creamy cheeses, flounder

Our take: Crisp without tongue-scratching acidity, balanced green aroma, a very refreshing summer wine for the patio or beach at a great price.

Fun fact: The Central Valley produces most of the highly regarded Chilean wine exports. It is fairly close to the country’s capitol, Santiago. The Siegel family is a third-generation winemaking family who originated in Austria.
