20-Buck Bottle: Juicy French red to share by the fire pit

This bottle is packed with spice, fruit and herbs

2019 Domaine de Fontsainte Corbières, Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Available at: Petit Philippe
Price: $20

On the nose: Sage, rosemary, dark cherry, cinnamon, close

On the palate:  Medium body, silky tannins, dark fruit

On the plate: Burgers, grilled foods, hearty fare

Our take: Very flexible red that will please many palates

Fun fact: Languedoc-Roussillon was known as a knock-off of Rhone wines at lower prices and quality. In the past 10 years, this region has received an influx of young winemakers with access to high quality, lower cost acreage who are living their dreams of planting organic and biodynamic vineyards. You can expect to see good to great wines coming out of this region over the next 20 years.
