    20-buck bottle: A complicated white

This French bottle is a fun tasting challenge

Wine: Jean Perrier et Fils Savoie Abymes Cuvee Gastronomie 2017
Available at: Assorted Table Wine Shoppe
    Price: $15.99

On the nose: Stone fruit with woodsy undertones

On the palate: This wine has good acidity and hints of lemongrass that create a complex wine when the touch of minerality hits your palate

On the plate: The punch of this French wine makes it a great one to pair with food, like a cheesy pasta or rich seafood dish.

Our take: Who knew you could get so much out of one $16 bottle of wine? This was a fun one to drink, mostly because it changes so much across your palate. Made with the Jacquère grape, it’s also a good purchase for those looking to broaden their wine knowledge.
