Libretto’s closing in Epicentre
The popular late-night pizza spot will keep its other locations open

Libretto’s Pizzeria in Epicentre will close after this weekend, the restaurant announced today on Facebook.
The pizzeria, owned by Mike Libretto, also has locations in ParkeTowne Village and Ballantyne. Those locations will remain open, and Libretto is also the owner of Coaltrane’s Char Grill in Plaza Midwood. Coaltrane’s recently closed its Epicentre location as well.
Businesses in the Epicentre seem to be struggling as nightlife options grow around the city. Enso Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar closed last year. StrikeCity, an upscale bowling alley, has been sold, though it will remain StrikeCity for now.
Here’s the restaurant’s full statement:
Ten years ago, we opened a little pizza joint in the Epicentre that took us on quite a journey. Libretto’s forged life long friendships, marriages, children, and tons of good times. Our staff was always like family. We’ve reached our destination here, but our journey continues. This weekend will be the last stop for Libretto’s in the Epicentre. Couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible people who made all of the good times possible.
