Le Creuset’s Factory-To-Table Sale is coming to Charlotte

The sale will include several rare items of different shapes and colors

Le Creuset will host its weekend-long factory sale in Charlotte for the first time. The event is September 12-15 at the Park Expo & Conference Center, near the Bojangles’ Coliseum. Previous sales have been held in Charleston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Nashville and often attract a large attendance.

The sale event offers superfans of the enamel cast-iron cookware exclusive discounts on a vast selection of premium cookware, including limited-edition colors and rare shapes and styles. The event also supports a good cause; Le Creuset will donate a portion of proceeds to Meals on Wheels America.

I will be there and on the lookout for only rare items. My reasoning? The common Le Creuset items often go on sale regularly online and at department stores, the rare items are the difficult ones to find and usually are not offered at a discounted price. The Factory-To-Table Sale is geared towards the rare colors, shapes, and limited edition items.

Here are the five things I’m looking for:

    1. Anything in the black galaxy cosmic print, but fingers-crossed I find the galaxy dutch oven
    2. Matte color items
    3. Anything of the Le Creuset and Hudson’s Bay stripes collection
    4. Speciality items like pate terrines, cocottes, and paella pans
    5. Roaster, I like them for casseroles and deep dish desserts

Chefs, restaurateurs, and other hospitality professionals can take an additional advantage throughout the sale with an additional 15 percent off items. Proof of ID (such as business card or paystub) and online registration is required.

On Thursday, September 12, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., there will be a VIP shopping event. Tickets to one of the two shopping specials is $30 and includes access to complimentary beverages and snacks, live music, sneak peak at the sales, and the opportunity to purchase a $50 mystery box. For the rest of the event, tickets are $15, shoppers can choose one of several two-hour shopping sessions on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. You can buy tickets here. –Justin Burke-Samson
