    Celebrate Halloween with these events

A NoDa Candy Crawl, cocktails and pumpkins, and more

Led by The Goodyear House, NoDa businesses will host a Candy Crawl on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Independent restaurants and shops will have tables in front of their doors to hand out candy for the entire family. Costumes are encouraged, and businesses will be taking Covid-19 precautions during the event, offering families a safe way to trick-or-treat in a year when many are wary of doing so.

“It’s based on the trunk or treat idea, where you go to one location and visit each car, but  we’re treating that business corridor of NoDa as the parking lot and encouraging families to come and park and walk the street and maybe discover some new businesses and pick up some candy and have a fun Tuesday night,” Goodyear House executive chef Chris Coleman says.

The date lines up with The Goodyear House’s last of the restaurant’s Tuesday fall festivities, which includes live music and fall food specials like brats and pretzels. This week’s finale will include a performance from Deadman’s Banjo, as well as chef Coleman carving pumpkins on the back patio. Guests will be free to take one of his carved creations home.

Participating restaurants include The Goodyear House, Haberdish, NoDa Company Store, Salud, Cabo Fish Taco, and Heist Brewery.

Here are some other Halloween celebrations around town this week:
