by Anita Skogland

50% Zametna, 20% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Grigio, 10% Blaufrankisch

On the Nose: Strawberry, cherry, hint of cinnamon, mint, and a whiff of apricot
On the Palate: Soft red fruits, minerals, light tannins, salt, light+ body
On the Plate: Roast fowl, roasted vegetables, creamy cheeses, polenta with marinara sauce. Good choice for a Thanksgiving wine as it is very flexible with a variety of flavors.
Our Take: A well-balanced wine that tastes like a rosé from Provence.
Fun Facts: Winemaker Peter Gönc named this wine for his grandmother. He grows grapes and makes wine in the oldest town in Slovenia, which is a tiny country nestled in between Austria and Croatia. The Zametna Crnina vines are native to this region of Europe and date back 400 years.
